Weld-On Glass Brackets FAQs

What welding method is recommended?

TIG (GTAW) is generally recommended for clean, controlled stainless steel fabrication. Always ensure the welding method is appropriate for the material and installation requirements.

Which glass thicknesses are compatible?

Our single brackets suit 10–12 mm glass, while double brackets accommodate 15–21.5 mm laminated or toughened glass. Always verify the bracket model against your glass specification.

Are the brackets supplied polished?

Brackets are supplied in a raw or lightly brushed condition ready for welding. After fabrication, polish or electropolish the weld area to match surrounding components.

Do I need special preparation before welding?

Ensure the mating surfaces are clean and free from contaminants. Fit the bracket to the post and tack weld in place before completing the full weld.
