BM Steel’s silver birch composite slatted cladding boards represent the lightest colour in our range. Silver birch brings together oak and grey tones to create a colour scheme that suits both contemporary and more rustic building projects. Their material has a 1 mm capping of long-lasting, high-density polyethylene wrapped totally around the cladding boards to make it ultra-violet stable. The core of the boards is made up of the same technology as the other composite slatted cladding boards we stock and is 55% reclaimed wood fibres and 45% HDPE.
Our range includes silver birch composite slatted cladding boards (2500 mm or 3600 mm) as well as end and corner trims. We have aluminium cladding clips in 250- or 50-pc packs and wood screws for cladding clips in the same amounts. We also stock aluminium cladding starter bars, composite cladding plastic pads in packs of 50, and silver birch colour coded screws for cladding trim in packs of 100.
One of the biggest advantages of silver birch composite slatted cladding boards is how low maintenance they are. Once they’ve been installed, that’s it. The boards won’t need to be painted, treated, or stained. They’re naturally resistant to mould and rot and don’t need any treatments to maintain this resistance.
Composite slatted cladding boards are also resistant to insects. The plastic content renders the product inedible to pests and bugs. This means that you won’t have to chemically treat it in any way to eradicate potential pest problems. Plus, you don’t need to worry about your composite slatted cladding boards fading in the sun because they have ultraviolet resistance built in. This is another factor that makes this product very low-maintenance, as you won’t need any UV-resistant treatments to keep them looking as good as new.
