Sales Executive/Business Development Executive (Aberdeen)

Due to site upgrades, overhaul and redevelopment, including major investment in new product lines and our increased stockholding capacity in Aberdeen since our acquisition by Marubeni Itochu Steel in October 2022, we are looking for a superstar to join our sales team!

As a part of the team in Aberdeen, you will excel at creating and closing new opportunities in a steel sales environment. By using a consultative approach to selling, you will use your expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers. On this occasion we are only looking for exceptional talent with technical/ steel sales experience; selling to and targeting Oil & Gas, Offshore Engineering, Power-Gen, Defense and Renewable Energy industries.



  • Meet and exceed agreed sales targets.

  • Minimum 2-5 years' quota carrying sales experience.
  • Minimum 2 Years of Steel Sales experience (this is mandatory).
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota, in a steel sales environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of sales process lifeline.
  • Workable knowledge of steel grades, qualities and applications.
  • Technical mindset to value product applications to offer products, services and alternatives.


This role is office-based from our modern, fresh and comfortable offices in Aberdeen and welcome enquiries from persons whom are in a commutable distance, or prepared to relocate.

Warehouse Manager (Avon)

The Role

  • Follow and implement all safe working procedures and Health and Safety guidelines, be the champion of our H&S practices.
  • Maintain housekeeping to a high standard and lead direct reports to follow in the expected high standards.
  • Be responsible for the correct picking of orders & loading of vehicles to help to maintain an accurate and efficient warehouse.
  • Ensure saw cutting operations are seamless and efficient.
  • Identify & implement procedural and process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage stock levels in conjunction with central purchasing and Depot Management.
  • Ensure stock location control is accurate and up to date.
  • Set out the working day to maximise production.
  • Assist in Warehouse as part of the team as and when required to ensure all work completed.
  • Liaise with Depot Manager and Sales Team regarding lead times on picking and sawing.
  • Co-ordinate all warehouse paperwork - Bay Inspections / Rack Inspections / Delivery Notes / Stock Checks.
  • Identify and manage training needs.
  • Be a good communicator to all – including Management, Warehouse Team, Office staff, Drivers, Delivery Drivers, Customers and Visitors to site.
  • Work to tight deadlines, safely and accurately.

HGV Class 2 Driver (Cheadle Depot)

BM Steel is offering great opportunities for Class 2/HGV divers. Your role will be to deliver our goods to customers in a safe and effective way. You will be responsible for caring for your vehicle and providing excellent customer service standards to all customers.

Please note applicants must ensure they have held their entitlement for the class of vehicle you will be employed to drive for a minimum of two years

Key Responsibilities of the Driver

  • To complete daily walk - around check and ensure that the details are recorded using the phone app provided to you.
  • Ensuring all products for a delivery are correct and that they have been loaded correctly and safely
  • Responsible for completing the daily paperwork
  • Execute any special requests as directed on the delivery note
  • To make safe and efficient deliveries to the customer(s) following the planned route
  • Be friendly and polite to customers at all times
  • Responsible for taking your vehicle to service when required to do so
  • To permanently maintain contact with the transport department and announce any issues as soon as they arise
  • The ability to help the customers as much as you can

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required by the Driver

  • Good safety practices and driving habits
  • Full C or CE licence
  • Digital Tacho card

  • A good understanding of Drivers hours and regulations
