The embedded IGEM 2500 shear latch is an aesthetic locking solution using a hybrid design (electromagnet + mechanical lock) for swinging doors.

This type of electromagnet has been developed to provide a reliable solution to double-action door locking. Although this electromagnet can be installed vertically, for best results it is advisable to install it horizontally, in the upper door frame. A door and frame of very good quality are also recommended.

    Description

    Operating in coordination with its channelled electronic circuit, it is self-controlled. Its hybrid technology offers break-in resistance of 750kgf (7500N). It is equipped with LSS locking control. Like the entire IGEM line, it is intrinsically guaranteed without residual magnetism and it benefits from a special treatment for high resistance to corrosion (ISO 9227 and ASTM B-117 90 certified).
