Doors & Fittings

The weighing of the drawbacks and benefits of different doors and fittings is essential for your construction project. You may find that they need regular repairs or even replacement, a requirement that is not just inconvenient but can get very expensive, too. You run the risk of this happening if you don’t pay careful attention to choosing the right materials that are less susceptible to corrosion, wear, and tear.

At BM Steel, we are confident in the power of our manufacturers’ craftsmanship, and we only supply quality, authentic products. Made from aluminium and stainless steel, all the door fittings at BM Steel are all the highest possible quality. Our range includes frameless glass door fittings, door hardware like locks, closers, and push buttons, and frameless fittings like glass canopy fittings, canopy spider brackets, canopy bolts, and tension rods.

Doors & Fittings FAQs

What is a door fitting?

Anything that belongs on a door is referred to as a door fitting. This includes lock shoot bolts, patch fittings and door closer sets, classic lock profile cylinder DIN and office classic hinge sets, classic non-locking DIN latch and office classic hinge sets, and back-to-back pull handles, to name a few.

What are door fittings made of?

We stock door fittings made from aluminium and stainless steel.

How do you fit a door?

The first step is to remove the old door and take measurements to ensure a perfect fit. Make sure that the opening in the wall provides enough space for the glass or steel unit and that the opening is finished. We recommend that you install the door in the recess’ centre instead of closer to the edge, because this way you have a more stable surface for the screws to align and be properly sunk into the recessed frame.
