What can Aluminium Decking be used for?

Aluminium decking very versatile and can be used on balconies, walkways, terraces and patios. Its strength and durability means it has a long lifespan. Some aluminium decking with anti-slip coatings have been fire tested and can achieve a fire resistance of A2fl-s1, which allows them to be used on high rise buildings.

Is Aluminium Decking sustainable?

Aluminium is 100% recyclable and when recycled correctly doesn’t lose any of its quality. Aluminium can be recycled time and time again. Recycling aluminium saves considerable amounts of energy when compared to producing virgin aluminium.

What colors do you offer?

Although BM Architectural presently hold RAL 7016 (anthracite grey) ISR anti slip decking in stock a vast array of colours are available. Please contact BM Architectural for further information.

What sub-structure can I use?

Sub structure to aluminium decking is often used where the decking needs to be lifted to a specific level, or when the structure it is being installed over is uneven. A mix of aluminium joists, pedestals and hangers can be used.

How do I know what fixings and accessories to use?

Aluminium decking and substructures can be provided with appropriate fixing to suit the application.

What is the lead time on Aluminium Decking systems?

BM Architectural hold stock of aluminium decking that is RAL7016 (anthracite grey). This allows very quick lead times. If specific colours are needed lead times are circa 4-6 weeks.

Yes, aluminium decking can be used on both commercial and residential buildings.

Does aluminium decking get hot?

Aluminium decking can get hot on a sunny day. The colour that the decking is coated will have an effect on the temperature it rises too. However, it doesn’t heat up any hotter than other materials such as timber or composite, but due to its thermally conductivity, it cools down much quicker.
