Sustainably manufactured and made from recycled, eco-friendly materials like reclaimed wood fibres and plastic composites, our charcoal fencing items combine the look, luxury, and texture of a wooden fence with the durability, practicality, and performance of plastic. The charcoal composite fencing panels are very low-maintenance and require no priming, treating, or painting. You don’t have to worry about them decaying, rotting, splintering, or splitting. All that’s required to keep them looking their best is an occasional cleaning with soap and water. Our charcoal composite fencing products boast unparalleled waterproofing qualities. They will stand the test of time in a range of weather conditions.

When you’re trying to decide on a fence for your residential or commercial outdoor space, you may be somewhat daunted by the choice between traditional timber and composite fencing. But, if you carefully weigh up both options, BM Steel believes that composite fencing is generally the best choice. Its combination of wood fibres and recycled plastics makes it an environmentally friendly option, and its low-maintenance requirements and durability make it worth the competitive initial cost over time. Plus, its long lifespan means you won’t have to worry about replacing your fencing any time soon.

If you want a sustainable, reliable solution for your fencing requirements, look no further than composite fencing at BM Steel.

Charcoal Fencing FAQs

Does composite fencing get extremely hot?

Your fence's material will influence how hot it gets, but the stain you choose will be the deciding factor.

When choosing the colour of your fence panels, remember that darker colours get significantly hotter than lighter ones.

If the composite fence is high-quality, such as ours, it shouldn't get much hotter than wood. However, inferior composite fences may get much hotter than some of the timber choices available.

Is composite fencing easy to clean?

A composite fence panel does not need to be maintained regularly, so it can be kept clean easily.

If you detect any mould, filth, or algae buildup on your fence panels, you can quickly remove it with a power washer without causing any harm to your fence.

A scrubbing brush with soft bristles and some elbow grease will do the trick if you don't have access to a power washer.

Does composite fencing expand and contract?

Considering that composite fences are made of wood-plastic composite materials, they will undoubtedly expand and contract in response to temperature changes.

During construction, you may need to allow more space based on how hot your location gets at its warmest.

Will my composite fencing fade?

In the first few months following installation, high-quality composite fences will fade and become a few shades lighter.

This is not a cause for concern, as the colour will quickly stabilise and will not fade significantly more over the course of its existence. However, if you have a lower-quality composite fence, it may continue to fade with time.

Is composite fencing easy to install?

Installing composite fencing can be quite straightforward if you plan your layout properly and have all the tools you need. Please see our Fencing Installation Guide for more information on the installation process.

In the event that you are not knowledgeable about DIY, you might be better off hiring a professional.
