FAQ
What glass thickness can the Eazyfit Channel Base Fix Kit support?
The system is designed to hold glass panels from 12mm to 25.5mm thick. This flexibility means you can use different glass types depending on the application ? for example, 12mm for lighter indoor partitions or 21.5?25.5mm laminated glass for areas with higher safety requirements such as balconies or decking balustrades.
Is the Eazyfit Channel Base Fix Kit suitable for outdoor installations?
Yes. Manufactured from durable aluminium, the channel is highly resistant to corrosion and weathering. It can be used in exposed external areas such as terraces, roof gardens, and decking. For coastal or high-humidity environments, we recommend pairing it with laminated glass and ensuring regular cleaning to maintain long-term performance.
Can I adjust the glass panels after installation?
Yes, one of the main benefits of the Eazyfit system is its adjustability. Thanks to the screw-clamp design, you can make fine adjustments to panel alignment during installation or afterwards if movement occurs. This makes it especially useful on longer balustrades where precision alignment across multiple panels is essential.
Does the kit include everything needed for installation?
The kit includes adjustable clamp kits, a top bead, and a spanner for securing panels. However, you will also need compatible glass panels (sold separately) and may require base fix anchors or additional fixings depending on your substrate. We also supply glass rubbers and finishing profiles to ensure a complete installation.
What applications is the Eazyfit Channel Base Fix Kit best suited for?
It is highly versatile and used in both domestic and commercial projects. Common uses include garden balustrades, Juliet balconies, staircases, and partitions. In commercial environments, it is often specified for offices, shopping centres, and hospitality venues where a modern frameless look is required
